Villa Turicum
Lake Forest, IL - Architect Charles A. Platt of New York designed Villa Turicum as a palatial country estate for Edith Rockefeller McCormick (Harold McCormick). Completed in 1912, the estate’s plan and design encompassed the inspiration of Italian villas and the Renaissance Revival style. Originally a 300 acre estate, the features evaluated as part of this assessment are located on a much smaller private residential subplot of the original land estimated to be under three acres in size.
Preserve, LLC was part of a team to evaluate, document, prioritize, and price the task of restoring the original hardscape features on site culminating in a Hardscape Masonry Assessment. Currently, Preserve is projet managing Phase One Stabilization of the Lake Terraces.
The Lake Terraces are comprised of seven levels with five sets of stairs.
